A new Turkish salad bowl, colorfully calling out to be filled with summer salads.

Global warming, diet inducing?  Eating in the heat can be nauseating, and cooking in the heat can daunt even the most culinary inclined. Nature obliges, with an abundance of summer fruits...

Compliments of Miss Blu, our family at KOK Kamp on the first day.

On our last night at the KOK camp the young woman I had nicknamed Miss Blu shyly asked to speak with me. Miss Blu is a tall striking young woman with a giant head of hair braided with blue threads (hence...

As a rule, the banana and I are not on good terms. Years of constipation already had me avoiding the banana. Even promises that it was a muscle relaxant/cramp reducer due to its potassium richness, could not persuade me to risk its side effects – no poop for the consti...

Bunny holding her own as we enter the book fair.

In 2006 bunny was born in Istanbul.

In January 2019 bunny debuted in her own book series, the Bunny Chronicles.

Our entire furry family – from left Prickles, Bearli, Nut guy, Bunny, Pici, Biancha, June bug, and Bianchino -  poses for Kenan from our terrace in Paradiso.

About Me

Your guide to living and eating consciously, practically, everyday.

Nicole is an Independent consultant and certified Nutritional Therapist working internationally as an intercultural trainer, blogger, & guide. Her professional interests include how our approach to food reflects a way of life and how food and culture relate physiologically and psychologically.

Her practice is based on the idea that a healthy state of mind is the road to a healthy state of being. She offers you the emotional and psychological nutrients to make healthy food and lifestyle choices, empowering you to effectively address your issues so that you may be effective in your professional life and balanced and happy in your personal life.

Living in other cultures has given Nicole a deep understanding of the role food plays in culture, lifestyle, and healing. She is committed to sharing her passion with her friends, teams, and clients.

“Becoming a Nutritional Therapist with IINH gave me the chance to combine my greatest passions, food, culture, travel, and the joy of sharing meaningful connections, internally and externally.”

Beyond her passion for food and nutrition, Nicole has a wide range of skills she uses to empower individuals and teams to discover and embody their own potential. As a United States Peace Corps volunteer in Vladivostok, Russia, Nicole spent two years working in the development of emerging markets. Following this she spent the next eight years living and working throughout the Russian Federation on various development projects. She has as well lived and worked in Switzerland, Turkey, Italy and the U.S. and is committed to sharing her deep cultural understanding with her students and clients.
